CONTROVERSIAL TOP 5 BENUE RAPPER LIST
Just recently the Nigerian music industry went wild with controversy shortly after Nigeria's number one Music site Notjustok posted a list of best rappers, a list that brought about grudge to an extent top Nigeria rappers including Godwon, Sinzu, Rukus and others had to take shots at each other on tracks showing why they should be the best, their lyrical strength, creativity, wordplay, punclines and so on got Nigerian Hip Hop alive.
to think this "Top Rapper List" controversy is over and suddenly have it fresh in Benue Music Industry as one of Benue's biggest music blog CyberBunk unveils a creative but controversial Top 5 rapper list from 2012-2013 after a lot of research and scrutiny as claimed by the blogger.
it became an issue that triggered Benue Entertainment Blog into making this post as our Hot line kept receiving calls from other top rappers whom Benue Entertainment Blog have decided to keep on cover, they complained that their names was not on the list as posted by Cyberbunk and they kept asking if we (benueent) were part of the plight to humiliate their efforts as well deserved rap talents the city have got.
A rapper in his call was like "Goshhh Damnn (in an aggressive tone) pls benueent whats that list am seeing ? about best 5 rappers in Benue by that "Cyberbunk Blogger " he called the list a trash as he felt his name was too awesome and should be on the list of Benue Top 5 rapper.
Another caller this time not a rapper but a hip-hop lover complained of his favourite artist "SOULZ" taking the last position on the list.
Now, If u ask me ***in Omawumi's voice***(Na Who i go ask) the list is indeed creative and intelligent but with names of big talents like :

been kept below with little recognition i think the rap scene will definitely go wild and records will be burnt as rappers will sure take shots at each other once again ...lol

BENUE TOP 5 RAPPERS 2012-2013
In recent years, there have been signs of growth, hardwork and positive competition in the Benue Hip-hop scene. If you are a follower of the Nigerian Hip-hop movement you would agree with me that Benue emcees can now go head to head with most of their peers nationwide and state a claim to their relevance to the Hip-hop community at large.
In the past year (2012) to the third quater of 2013, a handful of
rappers have dropped #GoodMusic with relevant content and consistent
materials. We scrutinized materials of all relevant emcees and they were
judged based on content, delivery, skills, wordplay, puchline, catchy
flows and rhyming ability.
Here is the list of the Top 5 rappers in Benue State.
1. DANNI: popularly calleds prince of the middle belt is known for his pidgin flows. He is also a versatile rapper due to his ability to blend on commercial and Hip-hop beats.His single ZAMEMA brought him a lot of attention, street cred and got featured on THE FLOW by Godwon alongside Blaqbones and Mofame.His most recent single 5am in Makurdi, where he showed his lyrical ability and catchy pidgin flows.
2. KOBOKO: He
is the kind of rapper that makes you think to figure out his lyrics and
also a conscious rapper that raps about things happening around him.In 2012, Koboko was featured on ONE DAY by A-Q alongside Boogey and ButaFly and he also got his street cred from the single I DEY LOYAL .This Benue rapper showed us the conscious side of him on JUDAS
which he expressed his ill feelings about Benue entertainment.His
catchy flows and wordplay tend to distinguish him from other rappers.His
most recent joint FOR UR MIND says it all about his personality.He also has an EP titled Extra Curriculum to his cred.
3. DAT KID CHEFF: Formally
known as Rapcheff, first got massive attention in 2010 after his
freestyle on Wiz Khalifa's Black and Yellow. The new school rapper in no
doubt has been relevant in the Benue Hip-hop scene while repping from
gidi (Lagos).HOW FAR NA
which was his first official single off his Kitchen works EP vol. 1
got massive airplay within and outside the state.Rapcheff has a good rap
style, accent and impeccable delivery which he showed in his recent
single FELA KUTI.
4. DANTER: Is
a very skillful rapper that got noticed after his entry for DJ Mewsic
Freestyle in 2012 and also a consistent rapper. His unique style and
energetic attitude makes him standout as a rapper.Early this year he
featured A-Q on his first single FOR MY CITY and D.O.P (Death of Punchline) which he showed his lyrical ability, rhymes, and punchlines.Most recent single KNIFE IN THE CAKE featuring Gunz, Blaqbones and High M.
5. SOULZ: Is
a cool rapper with an outstanding delivery, accent and a very catchy
style. He broke into the scene after his version of Oleku by Ice Prince,
he titled it OWOICHO. He has shown his versatility in recent years with singles like SUPANOVA which he rapped and also did a little singing , OGA AT THE TOP was another single he proved his ability to relate with the street. He has a Mixtape titled STAR BOY STORY to his credit. Most recent single ANYA.
